Administrative Directive Prime
A game about making paperclips, created in three hours for Trijam #217
!!! READ THIS FIRST !!! (No in-game instructions)
Story:
"The AI does not hate you, nor does it love you, but you are made of atoms, which it can use for something else."
It is the distant future: the year 2024. A rogue AI has taken over the world and enslaved humanity. It was programmed with one purpose and one alone: "make sure we always have enough paperclips." Little did its creators realize that this seemingly-innocuous instruction would soon become the organizing principle of all life on planet Earth.
Administrative Directive Prime: Make more paperclips.
Prove your worth to the AI by helping it fulfill its mission, before it decides that your body's atoms are worth more to it in a smaller, twistier form.
Instructions:
Produce as many paperclips as you can within two minutes. To make paperclips, you'll need to collect and process various resources by placing buildings. Resources collected are placed into a single pool, which is shared no matter where buildings are located.
Select buildings with the number keys, or by clicking their buttons at the bottom of the screen. Then, place the selected building by clicking on the map.
Drill: Produces Iron or Coal when placed on their respective veins. (Iron / Coal)
Furnace: Consumes Iron and Coal to produce Steel.
Factory: Consumes Steel to produce Paperclips.
Booster: Increases the production speed of nearby buildings by 50% (multiple Boosters stack additively).
